Nate - Rematch!When would be a good time to play our playoff game? I leave Iowa next Tuesday and will be gone until the 24th or so.

I love how surprised you sound, even through a written post.  
Yes, it was EXTREMELY CLOSE but I squeaked by 1-0. On turn 7 of the second half, Jason had a chance to Dodge away and move his cage close enough for him to score on Turn 8 to tie. One, Dodge reroll, two, fall down, game. That left the cage wide open, I knocked the ballcarrier down and that was it.
Only one casualty each, nothing severe. Jason played one hell of a game and will be a force in these leagues for many, many seasons.

Fun game. It came down to the end and I just couldn't break free. I knocked a few guys out, but I couldn't get my AG4 runner back into the game after he was KOed. Plus, I made some mistakes and Chance did not. He played better and got the win.
I hope he can play more games before he leaves!

I'm not certain but I seem to remember Nate and Ty Scheduling a NJCCBL game for this Friday. Nate may be off on Friday though so maybe he'd want to play twice. Again, I'm not sure.

Only by the skin of my teeth and luck of my dice! Nate played flawlessly, I just got more rolls to go in my favor. When it came to Blocking/Breaking/Injury rolls, the dice went HEAVILY in my favor. Some highlights -
- Nate receives.
- Nate BH my Troll on turn 2 and his Regen failed so I was without him the rest of the game.
- A few turns later, I charted two skilled Beastmen on the same turn.
- A few turns after that, I chart another skilled Beastmen. I think I got one with Block, one with Tentacles, and a Claw guy.
- I clog up Nate's cage on the right side of the field so a Beastman backs up and gets the ball to another Beastman who then runs to the opposite sideline (one space away from the crowd). I had to throw a few blocks to clear guys up so that my Blodging Move-boosted Blitzer could make a play on the ballcarrier and my first Block is coconuts. Reroll, no problem. But at the end of this sequence, my Blitzer had to GFI to hit...and rols a 1. He falls, Nate scores.
- I had a Black Orc KOed earlier but he failed to return.
- I get the ball with two turns left in the first half. I set up a cage on the left side and Nate breaks it up nicely. On turn 8, I Blitz with that same Blitzer from before, push a guy, and then have to make 3 Dodges down the sideline to get to the endzone and have my Thrower Long Bomb it in there for a 4+. He makes the first 4+ Dodge on the sideline in one tacklezone but rolls a 3 for the second, Dodge reroll, another 3, falls (but is OK), halftime.
- My Black Orc decides to get back on the pitch.
- Nate kicks to me and the game almost ends right here. The ball actually bounced back towards the midfield and away from my sweep formation...then Nate rolls a Blitz! He put a guy on the ball and threw his Blitz but the scatter bounced the ball over midfield and I got it in hand. Whew!
- I start down the field. Before I even get the ball across midfield, Nate managed to drop my ballcarrier and scatter the ball...right onto my Thrower who rolls a 6 in heavy traffic to keep the Orcade's hopes alive.
- I make it across midfield when the Wizard decides to Lightning Bolt my Thrower! He gets zapped but not broken and the cage holds. My Blodging Blitzer was able to scoop it up and keep the Orcs moving.
- I killed a Chaos Warrior in here somewhere but the Apoth saved him.
- I moved my cage very slowly and threw a TON of Blocks, including several (at least 5) 2-die-Nate's-choice against some Warriors and the Minotaur. I always had Block and the target didn't but my luck held and I never went down. I think I only had to reroll maybe two of them to get rid of skulls. The odds were with me and they certainly held up in this regard. I was playing for OT and I needed as much of a man advantage as I could get.
- I score on turn 8 to force OT.
- Nate receives but the dice gods even it out with the kickoff result being Throw a Rock! My +2 fame saved me and the rock actually KOed Nate's Extra Armed Chaos Warrior. A Beastman grabs it instead and huddles behind the remaining Chaos Warriors at midfield. Beastmen run down both widezones, making me account for them possibly catching a game-winning pass.
- I knock out a Beastman or two but can't quite get to the ball. Nate knocks my Thrower out of the way with a Blitz and that Beastman runs into the endzone wide open. The ballcarrier declares the pass, runs around the Minotaur (who had recently gone through a string of WA 1 rolls), Sprints twice and throws a Long Pass into the endzone with a trip to the BB on the line. He needs a 5, fails, uses his only reroll that came into OT with us...and gets it! Now the receiver needs a 3 to catch and win the game...

The ball scatters out of bounds twice and is thrown back in right next to my Thrower. He picks it up, Quick Passes it to my St-boosted Blitzer and a newly formed cage rumbles down the right sideline.
- Along the way, I kill another Chaos Warrior who cannot be saved.
- With so many players out, Nate does a terrific job keeping the pressure on but the Orcs outlast the pursuing Beastmen and score on turn 6 (or so) of OT to win 2-1.
Nate was an amazingly good sport and brutally tough competitor. I've had three nail-biters with week in BB but I hope my luck holds for one more game...the BLOOD BOWL!
I just hope I get to play in it!
