Mighty Empires: season 2 week 1Here are the starting colors, challenges and events.
Chris K plays Bretonians with white flags. Selects "Land Grab"
Chris C plays Chaos Warriors with black flags. Selects "Scouts"
Drew plays Scaven with red flags. Selects "Diplomacy v Pete".
Peter plays Orks with green flags. Selects "All or nothing".
Jason plays Chaos Demons with Gold flags. Selects "Elite Army".
Bryan plays Dark Elves with blue flags. Disaster v Drew is chosen for him.

It looks like all three games will be played next weekend.

Drew and I will be playing at my house next Sunday at noon. 1500 points of Scaven vs. Chaos Demons. I wouldn't mind if anyone wanted to come over and watch.

apparantly, skaven don't play like dwarves, and as such, get routed easily if played that way. Although, i would say jezzails are pretty sweet.

Hopefully Bryan and I will have played our game Wednesday evening.
I'd be up for round 2 this weekend.
I was just listening to a Podcast all about dwarves Drew. They basically said they are too one-dimensional for competative tournament play (at least in Australia). So your Skaven are multi-dimensional! You're getting a new book soon too.
I wonder what warpstone tastes like?

Bryan and I played Wednesday night. 1000 points - Result - Orcs Massacre the Dark Elves.
Bryan played pretty well for his first game. He was butchering my units with heavy ranged fire when I decided to go for his line with everything on turn 4. I launched a fanatic at his spearmen unit of about 12 guys. The fanatic rolled an 8 and hit the unit on the launch, ripping through them and causing 5 deaths. This caused an immediate panic roll which the spearmen failed. They fled through the fanatic for more casualties and then a friendly dark elf repeater crossbow unit behind them on a hill which then had to take a panic test. The crossbowmen failed their leadership test as well, turned and fled off the board.
That was essentially the game. One 25 point fanatic combined with some terrible leadership rolls, wiped out nearly half of Bryan's army.

was there less than 5 dark elves in that spear unit? if so, they wouldn't have cause panic in the crossbowmen.

He had 6 men left in the unit when they fled through the crossbowmen.

I won't be able to come in on sunday for round 2. I also won't be back in the state until January 1st.... so... go ahead and pick whatever for me... jason ill leave that up to you since you put this together.
