Looking to get into AGOTHey all...After having Jerod throw a couple of rules at me, and playing a game with Noel... I have decided to start playing AGOT. However... my wife is interested as well. If I needed to get 2 decks put together... what kind of purchases am I looking at? Starter Set x2? |

You don't need to buy two Core Sets, unless both you and your wife are interested in playing the same house. The Core set comes with four houses and they are Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, and Targeryan. Between the four decks you have enough cards to build a 60 card deck. If you want to play House Greyjoy then you need to pick up the Kings of the Sea expansion that just came out or two since the deck only contains one of each card. House Martell you'll have to wait till this fall. For the chapter packs I you can either buy all or pick and choose. Here's a site that lets you know what is in each pack:

Pheonix has the right of it. Noel & Ryan share a card pool and they still only need to buy enough for one player. You just can't play the same deck/theme at the same time. Otherwise it's all good! |
