Looking for dreadnought multi-melta arm (from black reach)

So I'm looking for the Multi-Melta dreadnought right arm from Assault on Black Reach.

I need 3 and I'm willing to trade pretty much whatever I've got for them including other dreadnought weapon arms (assault cannon, autocannon, lascannon, missile, etc). I also have lots of marine bits, tyranid bits and all the black reach orks.

Thanks,
Peter

In case you didn't know, the AoBR dread arm has a smaller peg/hole than the standard dreadnought.  You may have to do some drilling and puttying to get it to work with a standard plastic/metal dreadnought shoulder peg.

Let me take a gander at what I have, I might be willing to part with one or even two MMs.  I think I have an old metal multimelta dread somewhere.  I'll get back to you tonight.  Smile

Also, you're working on dark angels, right?  I have a metric buttload of DA bits from ravenwing, veteran, and chapter upgrade sprues that I'd be willing to trade or even share.  I got 'em ridiculously cheap on ebay for the robed bodies, cool power weapons, etc, but I have little use for the DA chapter badges, shoulder pads, and so forth.

Mounting the Multi Melta arm is going to require a magnet, I feel.  Alternatively you could remove the peg from the Dreadnought body and pin it in place.  I looked into this several months back when I started collecting Black Reach Marine sets from other players.

Yeah, I'm willing to part with a plastic melta arm.  What I'd planned to do is to fill the shoulder with milliput and then drill out the hole bigger, to the size of the standard dreadnought arm peg.

I'm interested in the autocannon... is it the forge world one?  Is it right or left arm?  Is it already painted?
Pete

I have two forge world autocannon right arms.

I was able to pick up a MM arm at Gen Con so I don't as urgently need the bit like I did before, however I am still interested in a couple more. I think I'm going to hang onto the Autocannon arm for now, perhaps there's something else we can trade?

Thanks for the ideas on mounting one on a standard dread, I think I might just put in a piece of plasicard and mount magnets in it should I get more than the 1 I got at Gen Con.

I sent you a pm a few days ago, but don't know if you got it. There is a MM arm in an envelope with your name on it waiting for you at CHG.
Hope that helps.

The diameter of a Non-Black Reach Dreadnought arm peg is almost the same as the diameter of the Black Reach Dreadnought receiving hole.  I'm not sure filling and drilling would work.  You might be better off removing the peg and pinning your weapons for that arm or using magnets.

Thanks for the Multi-Melta arm!

I just need one more if anyone is interested in trading still.

I think the easiest way to mod the arm is to put plasicard over the opening and then drill out a new hole for the peg on the dread. I think that would be fairly simple and would look decent.

Peg is BIGGER than receiver on the arm, Pete.  Peg is on body, receiver is on arm.  I ran into this problem when I swapped out the left arm of two of my Black Reach Dreads for arms with Heavy Flamers.

Best solution is to remove peg from body, fill in receiver on arm, and pin/glue in place.  If you want to have more options, then use magnets or pin without gluing.

I'm not unhappy with the difference between the standard dreadnoughts and the Black Reach Dreads because Black Reach is an amazing value.  Thought I'd share that since it is a positive feeling about GW.

Yeah I know it's bigger. I was thinking of covering the whole open side of the arm with plasticard fitted to the opening, then drilling through where the smaller reciever is witha bit the size of the larger peg. That way there would at least be something to help hold the arm in place should the reciever get destroyed by the drilling. I'm thinking the reciever might actually have enough plastic to accommodate being drilled and not collapse.

I agree, the Black Reach dread is such a great value, it's impossible to complain about it.
