I live in Fairfield now after living in Seattle for 15 years.

I've got a nicely painted Tau army and am looking for some games or tournaments.

Greetings. There isn't a tournament scene here in Iowa City right now, but there is a lot of casual play. I looked at that link, and I have to say that your army is quite impressive. How many points is the army that's posted at that link?

Thanks. That army I took to the Chicago GT 08 and it was 1750.

I run that Mech Tau army all the way up to 2250 by filling out the heavy support (either 3rd sniper drone team or 3rr HH), fast attack (3rd Piranha) and elite (Crisis) slots.

I'm about 75-80 minutes away. What time/day do the 40k gamers usually play? Has anyone got terrain?

I'd say (in the past) that Saturdays are more 40k heavy and Sundays are more Fantasy heavy.
What I would do, since you live far enough away that it could cost you money to come play... is set up a time where people will bring their 40k stuff. I usually only bring either my 40k or Fantasy stuff... so if you wanted to play a game sometime (besides this saturday) then post up and say you want to play, I can almost guarentee you that people will show up.

I know myself, Pete, and Groomie are up at the store at least 1 weekend day per week, most of the time its both.

Does the owner of Critical Hit do special orders on GW product and if so is there a discount under the GW retail price?
