What weekend looks good for you guys. Instead of letting me know stuff was ready to go we just recieved a sword today.

Cause technically the Sword Tournament is supposed to be a Release Tournament for the Celestial Base Set.

According to the L5R site on Celestial Edition (info here), CE will come with a release tournament that can be run from release (the 22nd) up until July 13th.

So yeah, the 28th sounds fine to me.

AEG did it to us.

They just sent an e-mail saying that the tourney dates must be between June 29th and July 5th. Sooo, what do you guys think?

Yeah... they changed the date again. Pity we can't just still do it the 28th. But I'm up for most any day as long as I've got the time to get the day off work.

Y'know, if you get the Celestial Edition base set in time, I'm still cool with going for the 28th. AEG has moved the release date back twice and the only weekend they're allowing now is the 4th of July weekend. I won't be busy, but can everybody else say that?

We can keep it the way it is but, we may not have the goods yet. I'm ok with it because I feel like we're being jerked a little bit.

Do you usually have sets a little before the street date? Or is there no real way for you to know? It would be sad not to have Celestial base to do the proper sealed event.

I usually have it before hand. However, I have no way of controlling this. July 5th could work but I'm afraid we'll lose people to the holidays.

Yeah, that's my main fear. Perhaps we can aim for the 28th. If you have CE in stock, awesome! If not, we can just have friendly games or do some other small inexpensive tournament (or several suicide events XD) and then just go for the 5th. It will be sad if we lose people to the holiday weekend, it will be sad, but unavoidable.

I'm down with this plan. The 28th definitely works better for me, but who know whether we'll have the cards by then. Also, I don't know everyone's schedule, but are weekdays an option?

Did not recieve cards. What now?

Do you guy's get shipments on Saturday? If not we can do Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday. Any other day is kinda out. What do the guys down there think? I'll be passing Iowa City through tomorrow if anybody wants to get together to discuss it.

I'm available any of those days, although on Tuesday or Thursday it would have to be after 5:30. I contacted the Quad City guys about the possibility of a mid-week tourny and am waiting to hear back.

It looks like we could do next Friday and Sunday too. Friday or early in the day any of the other days works best for me cause I need to be back home by 8:30pm on the days I work. But Friday I am open all day so I would say that's my best day. Hopefully we can get everyone's input so we can figure a day out soon.
