How does Sun. Nov. 23rd SoundFor another board game extravaganza?
We don't neccesarily need a theme but I'm sure there will be plenty of people dying to play BSG and Agricola. If we have any volunteers to run other games that would be great. Otherwise we'll just call it a game day!

It sounds good to me.
I thought a bit about themes for the game day and while there are a lot of good ones, it's hard to pool all the games together.
The only themes I can think that would be easy to get games for are producing/trading goods, churches, and castles. Damn you Euros!! Or fantasy/horror/scifi type stuff. Damn you Ameritrash!!
If we really tried, we might be able to pull off themes of discovery, space, Japan, India, Mediterranean/Europe, Caribbean, Egypt, food, etc.
Or there's a possibility for game mechanics. Auction, area control, hand management, worker placement, etc.
Specific designers could be fun too.
Not long ago we had a "Day of the Rondel" where we played all the Rondel games by Mac Gerdts (Hamburgum, Antike, and Imperial) in a Row. That was a blast. Once I get The Princes of Machu Picchu I want to have a "Day of Gerdts" and play all four of them in a row.
I'd gladly run anything I have that fits the theme. If there's no theme, I'm sure there will be no shortage of games or people to teach them.

The rondel day was fun.
Unfortunately, I'll be at my little brother's wedding that weekend. But it's OK to have fun without me.

So, is this next game day going to happen?
If we aren't going with a theme, I'll throw some games out I'd be most happy to teach:
Dominion - yeah it's that good, but give it a few plays to really shine
Agricola - Hey! Get that sheep out of the bedroom!
Shogun/Antike - want some confrontation in your euros?
Imperial - best...game...ever
In the Year of the Dragon - choose how you'd like to die
Rumis - I sit on you, blokus
Louis XIV - wigs. lots of wigs.
Ra - RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa!
Also, I won't be likely to participate if we've got some multiplayer games going, but if you've got someone you'd like to play a 2player with, I'd gladly bring and explain Twilight Struggle or 1960: The Making of the President. Jambo if you're into something shorter.
I don't think I can fit all these in my tub, so you better speak up if you specifically want to play any of these.

Looks like I am available that day, so I can play pretty much anything. I would love to give BSG or RN another shot. But anygame is better than no game. I would also like to play shogun agian but like you didn't know that. Actually I would play all of them. See ya then.

All those games seem pretty great. I'm especially interested in Rumis. It will be a packed house in here. I had to schedule a last second magic tournament that day. I expect 10-16. We should have plenty of room for our festivities though!
