The term isn't hair razing. It is Hair-raising. As in "the hair on the back of my neck stood up". It means terrifying, electrifying, etc.
Razing means to destroy, to tear down. It does not mean "to shave with a razor".
But Steve, you ask, why are you correcting us? The answer is simple, my friends, so long as J.L. keeps abusing the english language, men like me will stand guard to stop him.
