Dungeon Delving!

Starting Thurs. Oct. 2nd CHG is proud to host Delve Night starting at 6:30!

The program isn't offically sanctioned by Wizards...yet!

here's the info!

D&D Delve Night
D&D Delve Night is a monthly dungeon crawl adventure that is separated into four encounters. Each encounter takes about 1-2 hours to complete. The encounters are meant to be played one per week, or as often as the organizer and DM agree to run them. Each encounter is displayed on a full-color cardstock sheet with all the information needed to DM the session right on the sheet. Players simply show up with characters of the appropriate level (or create them onsite) and jump right into the action!

As an organizer, this is a great way to have a weekly D&D game without a large time commitment. The session can be played on a weeknight or you can play a longer session on the weekend using more than one encounter. As a DM, everything you need to run the adventure is on the sheet; just bring some Dungeon Tiles and D&D Miniatures and you’re ready to go. As a player, you can get a weekly game of D&D in without having to worry about scheduling time with a group – simply show up at your play location with the appropriately leveled character (or make one onsite) and you’re ready to go.

When does this start.  I am very interested.
Pete

I am also interested in this. It may be too much to add to my very full gaming plate, but I'd like to check it out.
Violator

Yeah this looks pretty interesting, I'd like to try it out.
Groomie

Who will be running this so that we might pester/bribe them?

Josh Elliot has stepped up to handle the monsters!
Samhain Iowa

Josh Elliott is a secret hermit who has recently arrived from the wilds of Coralville and can be contacted off list at samhain AT gmail DOT com if there are any questions.

The Plan is for Lindsay (my wife) and I to be available to run stuff, it sounds like the "mods" are 1-2 encounters designed to run 1-2 hours once per week. Its sanctioned under Wizards Play Network (The NEW DCI/ RPGA tracker thingie) so if you have rpga or dci numbers bring em with.

the details put forth by WOTC have been extremely vague at this point so I don't have much of an idea on what is actually going on ingame wise.

What I do know-

Show up with a character of the appropriate level OR we can help make one
(I assume we are going to start at first level and that all the books currently out are fair game, and the published materials from dragon magazines are also fair game)

I dont know if it counts towards anything or not, but If i do get more info I'll be sure to post it.

The same Josh Elliot that once played a paladin with a War Elephant for a mount?!?!?  WE MEET AGAIN!

I thought that was you at the store, man.  This is gonna be a LOT of fun if you are handling it.  I am really looking forward to this....

We're now official!! The delve stuff has arrived from Wizards of the Coast!
Violator

Is there a way to find out what level stuff is going to come in for on these events? I assume right now more are 1st level stuff, but at some point they'll start kicking out higher level adventures. It would be nice to know what to come with in advance. Thanks!

Hey Y'all-

Matt will be running this weeks endeavor and is requesting 5th levels dudes. That are in your base.
Matt VK

Sorry folks,

I was supposed to be running a D&D event tonight but facing a little problem.

I'm fighting off a cold.

Would have posted something earlier but kept hoping I was fine enough to run the event tonight.

Will be up to running it next week if Lindsay osn't ready yet or wants to take a break.

Hey guys!

What is the current status of the delve? When/how often does it meet? How do people know what level character to bring each time and etc?

I will be moving to IC in a few weeks and am thinking about trying this out a few times.
Maudib

The delve is still going strong. There are usually 5-6 players each game and we usually get through two encounters each night. We meet every other Thursday and start at 7:00. Right now, we're 10th level, but I think we'll be 11th level soon and finally have a chance to try out some paragon paths.
Matt VK

There will be something running tonight, May 14th.

Either a Dungeon Delve for 10th level characters or a RPGA Living Forgotten Realms for 1st level characters.  (Or up to 4th level if you have a LFR character of that level.)
Matt VK

Due to prior commitment, which I forgot about, I will not be able to run something this coming Thursday, June 4th.
