CHC Week 9 UpdateGreetings All!
Week 9 is nearly complete. Only the game between The Borland Borings and The Care Bear Stares remains. Winning either this or his next game would lock up a playoff spot for the Care Bear Stares.
The Yang division playoff picture was made much clearer during week 9, while the Yin division playoff picture became even more uncertain.
The biggest news of week 9 was the defeat of The Blue Beastman Group by The Mighty Ducks. In true Mighty Ducks fasion the underdogs were able to win against heavy odds, locking themselves in as the 3rd seed in the upcoming playoffs. The BBMG has already secured the #1 seed and The Orcade has secured the #2 Seed. This would leave the final fouth spot to be decided between The Long Claw of the Law, Shirtless Death Machine and D-Orcs during week 10! (A note about this, Nate has already wrapped up the final playoff spot by defeating Chris Cloud in their week 10 match)
Pauly is the only one to have locked up a playoff spot in the Yin division. By my calculations 6 teams still have a chance to make the playoffs from that side. Pauly is in. Carlson can secure a playoff berth by winning in week 10 or if Jason, Spencer or Tim loses in week 10. Spencer will be in for certain if he wins in week 10 and Carlson, Tim or Jason lose in week 10 or if Jason Loses in week 10 and Tim Wins. Jason will be in with a win Carlson, Tim or Spencer losing in week 10 or a Tim Loss and Spencer Win. Tim will be in for certain if he wins and Carlson, Spencer or Jason lose in week 10 or if Drew and Spencer Lose and Jason wins in week 10. Drew still has an outside shot at the playoffs but it would require him to win, Tim to Lose and either Jason or Spencer to lose, though this wouldnt secure him a spot.
Whew! Ok, moving on from that mess there are only two deaths to report so far from week 9. Fraggle Rock! lost their lone skilled goblin, The Bulldozer, during their narrow victory over Chaos Theory. The other death of the week was The Guardian of the Oglala Nation, an unskilled snotling from The Goonies.
Good Luck to everyone during week 10! It will be Exciting to see how things shake out.

Holy crap! The beastman group lost? Looks like he is the 85 Bears...which means one thing....I'll let you draw the connection.
Also a heads up that the game between Ruxton and I was totally crazy. Including two riots, (one that allowed him to score in the first half...it was turn 8.). Only the wizard induced allowed me to pull it out.
