CHC Season 8 Week 2 Finished!

All,

We have completed week two of the Quest of the Critical Hit Cup one week early!  Week three games will be due on Sept 13th.  Lets keep the momentum going everyone.

There were six deaths to report from week 2.  The match between the Borland Borings and In Your Face Lyons! saw a death on each side.  The Borings lost Zombie Vidar II (a block zombie) and IYFL lost Syelurn Ciofano (a wrestle, jump-up lineman).  This brings Ruxtons Zombie total to nine for those of you keeping track.  Pink Eye lost Altavistic Vicking (a block werewolf) on their way to defeating the Hobo Lords.  Chaos Theory's poor luck with injuries this season continued with the death of Beastman Herman Mark (Claw & Mighty Blow).  The Pie-Rats hired one very unlucky journeyman to fill in during their match with the Guardians of Cheese-Ah, this particular journey-rat did not survive to play another game.  Finally The Master Robots lost their Ogre Mettar during a particularly brutal match against Under Six Feet.  The Master Robots also suffered 3 stat busts and a niggling injury in this match, forcing them to retire from the league.  They will be replaced by Thom Uphoffs new Undead team "Dead N Breakfast".  Fruits in Space (Carlson's Slann team) also decided to restart after week 2 and will be replaced by a skaven team with the same name.

Six teams moved to 2-0 during week two:  The Dark Side of the Moon of Endor, The NecroMuppet Show, Beard to Belt Buckle, Under Six Feet, Pink-Eye, and In Your Face Lyons! all moved to 2-0 records.  Here are all the results of the week 2 matches:

“Dead Can Dance” Defeats “Chaos Theory”
“In Your Face Lyons” Defeats “Borland Borings”
“Guardians of Cheese-Ah!” Draws with “The Pie-Rats”
“Beard to Belt Buckle” Defeats “Flea Bit’en”
“Under Six Feet” Defeats “The Master Robots”
“The Fancy Lad Brigade” Defeats “GWAR”
“Pink Eye” defeats “The Hobo Lords”
“The Long Claw of the Law” Defeats “D-Orks”
“The NecroMuppet Show” Defeats “The Elves of Oz”
“The Dark Side of the Moon of Endor” Defeats “Fruits in Space”

The dead journeyman was a blessing because I was trying to decide "if I get $50K, do I buy him?" since he had a SPP.  Well, his death answered that question for me.

The Zombie Wood Elf got a skill in the game he was raised in.  I think.  Or at least he got some SPPs.

He remembered that he used to be an elf and got an AGI boost.
