Blood bowl Tournament scheduled for Aug 8th!I am just checking to see how many people would be interested in playing in a blood bowl tournament, using just the LRB5 rules. I am thinking it would last a weekend (Sat and Sun.) with an entry cost of $10. I talked to Jerod about it yesterday, but would like to know if there is an interest in the community for it. It would be starting teams for all with advancements made from there. Please let me know what you think. If there is interest I would like to try and set it up before Gen-con. If things work out we could start doing this between each league or every three months or so.Thanks, Noel |

Alright, due to awesome demand. Impromtu BB tournament, GenCon rules. If this goes well we'll schedule a tourney quarterly or bi-yearly AND come up with our own tourney rules.

Yes, the coaches meeting is on that Sunday. That is why I think having the Tournament on Saturday the 8th is a good idea. Hopefully people will be in town to play. Also, it will be a good warm up for people heading to Gencon the following weekend. | ||

1. The store will be open at 10am. 2. There will be 4 rounds, with a 2 hour time limit 3. You need to have your team turned in before 10:45 am so we can start at 11am. Thanks for the interest and hope to see you there. |

Question on the GenCon rules...
I don't know if it's the formatting or what, but in the inducements description... are babes allowed or not? Bloodwiser is in the allowed part and "babes" in the non-allowed part. Also, how will inducements work exactly? Most people will be around TV100, but if people build lower to get an inducement, that will be negated if the opponent has a low TV as well, right? Or am I way off? |

As I understand the rules you are required to spend all of your $1,000,000. You can spend any amount of this money to purchase inducements to your roster. Babes are definitely allowed. | ||

yes, you can, for instance purchase a babe as a perm fixture to your roster for the tourney, if you can find ways to afford it - I think in this particular format, you're not allowed to purchase cards or wizards... | ||

yes...NO cards or wizards, mercinaries, igors, journeymen. if you guys have any question that drew or tim can't answer, ask, i've played these rules many times, Bryan (Xtreme on the zlurpeebowl board) set these rules and are very, very similar to the ZB rules-set. |

I downloaded the rules that were linked to the "zlurpeebowl" rules listed above, and printed it out. I've just now noticed that it is not the same as the LRB5 rules linked in the "CRITICAL HIT CUP RULES AMENDMENTS" forum, which I do not have. I'm assuming we're using the rules I downloaded (and used a lot of ink to print) from the rules packet listed above. Please let me know if that is the case. |

The tournament will use LRB5, which I believe is what you downloaded. The Critical Hit Cup uses LRB5 2008 Rules Review, which is what is linked in the CHC rules thread.

Thanks to Noel, Knox, Drew and Tim for the great games! Even though it was four straight BB matches, they seemed to fly right by! I always (try to) learn from playing against great coaches and Drew even taught me some new words! 
I finally got a win over Knox! I still have not beaten Tim or Drew but have now tied them both! My slate of games included the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers as well as 3 of the Top-4 casualty teams and 3 of the Top-4 TD teams. Yikes! I thought Noel was playing Wood Elves? Great time all around - looking forward to the next one! |

I did play woodelves. Congrats Chance. There was some fun Bloodbowl played and it did seem to fly by. I would have liked to have a few rolls back, but still it was a good time. Chance had to play some of the strongest coaches in our area and pulled off some amazing wins or ties.
