Post subject: Sealing Painted Minis
Well I finally got some Matte Finish to seal my painted figs.  I havent ever done this before and I wasnt sure if there is too much humidity right now to seal painted minis.  Thought I'd ask for some experianced opinions.

Any other advice you might have for a finishing virgin would be great as well!

As much as people will tell you to do this in a well ventalated room, I disagree with the weather we've been having.  I've been spraying my minis in my garage with the door shut... and it's worked great!

I would suggest doing only 1 mini (preferrably one you don't care about) to try it out.  If you need a mini or two to try it out on let me know, I have some painted figs I don't care about that you can try it on.

I also recommend an enclosed area like a garage. I do my spraying in the little porch room on the back of my house and with reasonable humidity like right now, it's fine. I also have a fan blow on the figures immediately after I spray them, that seems to help. Just be sure to hold your breath while you spray Smile

Humidity will cause "frosting" on your models so you definately don't want to do it unless you're confident it's dry enough. Humidity will also totally screw up spray primer. I've ruined whole batches of figs early in my miniature painting life by spraying in the wrong conditions Sad

Maybe I could spray them at work.  The building is all air conditioned and has like 12-14' ceilings.

Yeah that would work - the only problem is.. getting approval to do it. That stuff smells nasty!
