How does an escalation start and "escalate" in WM, anyway?

300 > 500 > 750? or something else?

An Escalation goes like this:

I crush your hopes and dreams.

You crush my hopes and dreams.

Then we find another player and crush his or her hopes and dreams.

Then we compare and contrast Warmachine and Hordes with other miniatures games and constanly sound surprised at how good those two games are...

David Lo Pan, the head of the Wing Kong Import-Export Trading Company, (not using Epic Lo Pan this escalation, too focus dependant, not really newbie friendly) will be my go-to Cryx warcaster for the foreseeable future. Once I learn to counter his tendency to hare off after enemy females looking at their eye color, my army of undead martial artists should become unstoppable.

Its too bad that your hopes and dreams will be a casualty of this war, but so be it. You realize that even if (when) Cryx loses the day, any battlefield with corpses and wrecked machinery on it fuels our return in glory and our inevitable triumph?
