Post subject: D&D Delve Night Announcements
Hey all - this is your friendly 4th ed. D&D Delve DM, Lindsay.  I've got some announcements:

1) The next Delve night will be Thursday, January 22 at 7 pm!

(Last week the store was closed; this week I've got a conflict.)

2) The Delve night material for January is for characters of EIGHTH LEVEL.  So... if you've played the Delve before, please level your characters to eighth level, or create a character of eighth level if you want to try out a new class... it's all very free-form.

3) If you've never joined us before, please create a character if possible.  If you just want to try the system out without buying the books, I do have a pre-generated character or two available.  I'll post on the boards each month if there

4) I do reserve the right to limit the table size, but I'll try to accommodate people within reason.

5) Starting in February, I'd like to start doing the Delve on only the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month (which is consistent with the amount of material that WOTC's providing).

Questions?  Comments?  Brickbats?  Let me know here.

Yes, 8th Level! I don't have any "Brickbats", but I have a couple of questions.

1) Are there any race or class restrictions when making a new character? Are Warforged, Shifters, Kobolds, or any of the other races in the back of the DMG in?

2)Whether we level our existing characters or create new ones, should we just use the standard magic item/GP rules for starting higher level characters?

Ack, that'll teach me to be lazy about checking these boards!

1) Any class (current or playtest) is fine; let's stick to standard races + Gnomes + LFR Players guide for now (I haven't had a chance to look at the races in DMG).  I might revise that ruling later.

2) Yep, please use standard magic item by level guidelines.

Thursday Feb. 12th

This is in case Lindsay does not have anything ready.

I have a mod for level 5 characters if people want to make them up and bring them.

Items for characters -
1x Level 6 item
1x Level 5 Item
1x Level 4 Item
and 840 gold to be spent however you wish.  Can be used to upgrade one of the level items.

Matt Van Kirk

I should be at Critical Hits around 6:30.

PS.  This is only in case Lindsay isn't ready to run one or wants to take a break and play for a evening or two.
